Kelly Cota was the Program manager at National Grid, one of the largest electric and gas utilities in the US, serving over 3.5million gas and electric customers in the Northeast, specializing in providing energy efficient solutions for New Construction and Retrofit Projects.
Kelly enabled customers to achieve enhanced profitability by providing educational seminars on Energy Efficient Initiatives, exceeding building codes for greater energy savings, emerging technologies and understanding LEED projects. However, her talents are not limited to providing customers just with extra savings each month.
Prior to joining National Grid, Kelly Cota has worked within the lighting industry for 22 plus years holding a variety of positions from Application Engineer to Specification Sales Representative. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with a minor in Illumination and Optical engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Kelly then used her knowledge to become a Lighting Certified Professional in 2000 and LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. By demonstrating her expertise in the field, she sat on the technical committee for Design Lights Consortium that creates standards for emerging LED technology.
